Ben Midworth

Ben Midworth is a dedicated and skilled practitioner offering deep support and transformational guidance to leaders and executives.

Over 25 years, he has experienced thousands of hours training and development in the most effective, cutting-edge approaches to therapy and coaching. These methods enable individuals to transform extreme difficulties into life-changing opportunities.

Ben’s own profound personal transformation has involved dealing with extraordinary irrationality, tragedy and destructive forces in both personal and professional domains. Having a profound personal and professional experience of the transformation of pain and suffering into stabilisation, productivity, accomplishment, satisfaction, meaning, purpose and love directly contributes to the success he brings to his clients.

The combination of his development work and this personal experience has produced a unique, empathetic coaching style proven to benefit those impacted by the most difficult of contexts: a trusted partner for those facing challenging transitional moments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive international practice in psychotherapy and coaching since 2010
  • Transformative group work, offering facilitation of personal development groups and workshops, including Boarding School Survivors Workshops in the UK
  • Therapy and supervision training to fellow practitioners in UK, Pakistan and Europe
  • Diverse training in psychotherapy, coaching, leadership theories and practice, neuroscience, developmental psychology, attachment, embodiment, somatic experiencing, trauma therapy, group work and organisational development, conflict resolution, relationship crises and couple work (over 5000 hours of professional development)
  • Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from Minster Centre, London 2001
  • Registered psychotherapist (with UKCP since 2006) and supervisor (with UKCP since 2013)
  • Tertiary and Secondary Education: B.A. in Human Sciences from Magdalen College, Oxford; A levels at Charterhouse School, Surrey

Ben’s group work focuses on fostering collective growth and resilience, facilitating a shared journey of self-discovery and empowerment. The training initiatives aim to broaden the scope of therapeutic and coaching practices, enhancing the skills of many professionals.

He has a widespread interest in personal empowerment and development in particular across intergenerational and transcultural trauma. He is developing associations with leading coaching organisations across the world. He is also deeply involved in other projects promoting personal growth, including establishing retreat centres in Greece and Belize, focusing on environmental preservation and emotional and spiritual development.

Ben is the proud father of two wonderful adult children. He enjoys international travel, cultural events, skiing, boxing, running, Tai Chi, and yoga.
